What are the Benefits of Lymphatic Drainage?

Lymphatic drainage offers many benefits to the human body - both mentally and physically. Below are some examples of what lymphatic drainage does to help promote wellness:

Provides a boost to the immune system - by stimulating lymph flow,  lymphatic drainage massage (LMD) helps fight infections and diseases.

Reduces inflammation - improving lymph flow helps reduce inflammation which in turn can reduce symptoms, such as swelling and pain.

Helps detoxify the body - the lymphatic system is in charge of removing toxins and other waste from the body. LMD can increase the lymphatic systems’ capacity and improve its ability to detoxify the body.

Reduces swelling - improving the lymph flow can help remove excess fluid from the swollen area, which reduces swelling.

Relieve an abscess - in some cases lymphatic drainage can help relieve an abscess by removing pus from the body.

Promotes post-surgical recovery - lymphatic drainage can help patients recovering after a surgery by improving lymph flow, which helps to reduce swelling, manage pain, and promote overall healing.

It’s a type of treatment that focuses on the fat cells and helps to tighten skin and muscle, which can give your body a more toned appearance. If you are considering liposuction, but fear the risks and painful recovery time, this may be a better option for you.

Brazilian Lymphatic Massage: Its manual technique, applying vigorous  fast and firm movements along the whole. That is moving the fat to the right places, breaking down the compact fat pockets, thus giving the body a better contour.

Ultrasound Cavitation: This procedure is marketed as a safer alternative to surgical options such as traditional liposuction. The treatment uses ultrasound energy, which does little to surrounding areas while aiming to cause fat cells to empty their contents. These are later processed by your body's lymphatic system.

High-frequency: Heating to quickly warm the body dermis. This thermal heating promotes collagen regeneration and improves cellulite. Technology to offer a noninvasive pain free body treatment to help reduce the appearance of cellulite, firm the sagging skin of the stomach arms, legs and to boost collagen production and remove fatty deposits.

Body Wrap With Sauna Blanket: All body wraps begin with a dry brushing exfoliation to allow for optimal absorption of the product before beginning the wrap. The added benefit of a warm thermal blanket helps promote the release of toxins and excess water from the skin. It ends with a  hydrating massage. For optimal results, one wrap per week for six weeks is recommended.

Lipo Laser Paddle: Uses laser lights that emit short wavelengths to stimulate and break down fat on large areas like  underarms and thighs.

Vacuum Multipolar RF: Once fat is broken down into liquid- the vacuum - RF handle uses a vacuum suction to improve blood flow and lymph circulation which is your body's natural way of eliminating the liquitied fat from the body. The radio-frequency heating helps contract collagen to improve cellulite.

Vacuum Butt Lift: Suction to increase the size of your buttocks. This includes blood and oxygen flow to the buttocks area causing fat cells to multiply which ultimately makes your butt bigger, rounder and fuller.

Wood Therapy: Wood Therapy is often used in conjunction with other body contouring treatments too. By combining Wood Therapy with other techniques like Cavitation and Radio-Frequencies, practitioners can customize treatments to address each client's unique needs and goals effectively.

The results are visible immediately after each treatment, and several treatments are combined in each session to offer you an unbeatable value for your money. These treatments can flatten and tone your belly, lift and smooth your buttocks and define and tone any area with stubborn fat that just doesn't want to go away with regular diet and exercises.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of massage therapy. The word Shiatsu comes from two Japanese words - “shi” (finger) and “atsu” (pressure). In addition to the direct stimulation of pressure points along the energy pathways of your body, gentle stretching techniques are applied over a wider area of the body to integrate the point work and encourage the flow of Chi (energy) throughout the body. Shiatsu is a meditative healing art that honors the body, mind and spirit.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health. During a session, I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages, detoxify your system, and restore your vital life force energy. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain.

Oriental Bodywork

Oriental bodywork aims to restore and balance the flow of energy (Chi) throughout your body. It uses gentle hand and finger pressure along specific points and energy pathways (meridians) on your body to restore your body to full health. There are many forms of Oriental bodywork, but they all share a common foundation in Chinese Medicine. They simply differ in their use of specific techniques to balance your energy.

Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system. As both a preventative and remedial technique, LD can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from pregnancy, and strengthened resistance to illness.

Lomi Lomi

Lomi Lomi is the Hawaiian word for “massage”, and it is part of a larger native Hawaiian tradition of healing and natural body care. According to Hawaiian tradition, all living beings are seeking a state of balance and love in the world. During a Lomi Lomi session, therefore, I focus on not only relaxing your body through gentle touch, but also reviving your spirit and filling your body with the energy of love.

Thai Massage

Thai massage is more energizing and rigorous than most other forms of massage therapy. It's also called Thai Yoga massage, because I use my hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like postures and stretches. My clients say Thai massage is like doing yoga without doing any of the work. No oil is applied, so you are fully dressed during the session. A single Thai massage session will help you release stress and relieve pain, and help you function more effectively at work and home.

Energy Work

Energy work is based on the belief that everyone has a “life force”, and that the body needs to sustain its balance for optimum health. Anytime you experience emotional or physical illness, it indicates that your life force has simply become unbalanced. I work directly with your energy field to restore balance and flow to your entire system. And once your energy field has been restored to full health, your body will follow.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

CranioSacral (SM)

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle yet powerful technique that is effective in releasing neck pain, back pain, and mental stress (among other things). It does this by optimizing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spine and around the skull. Developed by physician William Sutherland, this therapy provides a very soothing and relaxing healing experience.

Acupressure

Acupressure is based on one the most ancient principles of healing - that simply touching a specific point on the body will release stress and improve health in the body. In an acupressure session, I apply firm pressure directly to these “points” on your body, which relieves your muscle tension and improves your circulation. This simple and powerful technique has been shown to be very effective in treating headaches, backaches, and even insomnia.

Active Isolated Stretching

Developed by Aaron Mattes, Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is a dynamic system for improving your flexibility and overall well-being. As you probably already know, stretching your muscles not only reduces your chance of injury, but also strengthens your tendons and improves your circulation.

If one of your pathways becomes blocked, this creates stagnation in your energy field and leads to illness or discomfort. I use my hands to gently release any blockages in your energy pathways, and restore balance to your entire system. The whole experience is very relaxing, nurturing and therapeutic.

As the skin peels off, new cell growth underneath is encouraged. Key Benefits: • Smoother, lighter and more radiant skin. • Non-irritating.

Glycolic acid: Out of all the peels available, the glycolic peel penetrates your skin the deepest, so it’s the best one for exfoliation.

Lactic Acids: If your skin is sensitive, some of the peels on this list may irritate it. You may want to look into a light chemical peel, such as a lactic peel. As the name suggests, lactic peels come from milk. It’s not only gentle on easily irritated skin but also moisturizes dry skin.

Salicylic acid: Acne can be embarrassing and annoying to deal with. If you have a bunch of problem breakouts, a Salic acid peel will be able to help you. Is great for exfoliation and oil control. Salicylic acid also takes care of the bacteria that cause acne breakouts to give you the relief that you’ve been searching for.

Retinol Peel: Retinol is a form of vitamin A, which is used in skincare products as it encourages the growth of skin cells once it is applied. Due to its small molecular size, retinol is able to penetrate into the deeper layers of your skin.
